Essays: Before reading the handouts write a short essay (approx. 150-200 words - try to keep it to one sheet/page) answering
the question, "Was Columbus an Imperialist?" After reading the handouts either rewrite your original essay or write a new essay
(approx. 150-200 words - try to keep it to one sheet/page) answering  the question, "Was Columbus an Imperialist?" Bring
both essays to class early (or better yet, before B block) so copies can be run off for the entire class.
