Here are some shots from our Colonial Period Unit
A mini-lesson involved an examination of colonial period
folk architecture and building techniques. Here student Charles Romeo tries
his hand at drilling a hole in a timber with an auger. Scott Drew (who,
by the way, is co-president of the Class of 2001 with Charles Romeo) attempts
to use an adze to smooth the side of this timber. Watch out for those feet!
Where's OSHA when you need them?
Fire and brimstone, anyone? Liz Lathey gets ready to
deliver a little bit of Jonathan Edward's "Sinners in the Hand of an Angry
God."
Robbie Wetzler brings his experience as an Encore Theater
actor to class. One of his first productions was in "The Crucible" and
he has just completed a successful run in "Antigone."
"Bloody lobster back!" Charles Romeo, Andrea
Doenges and Ally Shortle threaten Grenadier Private Scott Drew as they
recreate the Boston Massacre. Scott may be wishing he was "some where over
the rainbow" right now.
