Today was definitely the most wonderful canoeing day of the entire trip.  No one really fought, very unusual.  Allen and I cruised.  We were at the front of the group for the whole way, if not a half a mile in front of the rest of them.  Someone decided that we had to go to a store so we did, and that made it so we didn't eat lunch until 2 p.m. or so.  That  was too late!!!  We took an hour for lunch, so we were on the water from 8 to 2 and then 3 to 5:30.  We had gotten up at 6:30 and then we had to wait around  at the beach until Kurt got there at 8:15. Almost exactly 18 miles in 9 hours, with the mind in our faces.  It was tough, but we made it to Grand Isle State Park. The camp site is my favorite.  We are all exhausted and sunburned to a crisp.  It was a great day.
