DAY 13 - THE END! by SAM WHITE
Today we were able to sleep in for once, although I still woke up early because of the sunlight shining through our tent, and since I was so used to getting up early.  I woke up around 8:00, to see that about half the group was already awake.  I left my tent and searched through my dry bag for my bowl, cup and spoon, so that I could have oatmeal with brown sugar in it and hot chocolate to drink for a last breakfast.  After breakfast I was too lazy to even wash my dishes again, so I tossed them into my dry bag along with everything else I had brought on the trip.  Adi and I quickly took down our tent and packed it up also.  Then we took all of our luggage around to the front of Dave Cozzen’s house where our canoes were already lying.

With everything packed up and ready to go it gave us time to relax and look at the beautiful lake.  Between 10:30 and 11:00 the first parents began to arrive at the house.  So group pictures were taken of us in front of our canoes and we grouped together for a last talk before we went home.

Then we all said goodbye to each other and around 11:30  Adi, Mike and I got into the Kavouksorian’s van with our bags for a two and a half hour ride home. Luckily WE didn't get a flat tire!
As we sat in the car drinking sodas and eating cookies we quickly drove by the different camp sites which we had spent the last 13 days sleeping at.  Soon we arrived home, and it felt great being back in civilization after 13 days of camping.
