Shrewsbury is a little town located in Rutland County, Vermont, with a population of only 1,137. The first settlers came to Shrewsbury in 1780 from Barre, Massachusetts, Richmond, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. The town was actually founded on September 4, 1781 and named after the Earl of Shrewsbury. Full of beautiful views, dirt roads, and vacation homes, the small town of Shrewsbury is a perfect place to get away.
